Zumbathon to be held at EES on Friday, 1/20/12 from 6 pm - 8 pm.

Bring a bottle of water and a towel and get ready to have some fun!!

And also the Holiday Market to be held on Saturday, 11/5 and will include a chili cookoff! If intersted in contributing your favorite chili recipe, there is no cost (please see flyer for more details). If you're interested in having a booth at the Holiday Market, fill out the bottom form. There is a small cost to rent the space. 
This is great way to finish (or start) your holiday shopping!!

The class that brings in the most box tops and the class that brings in the most soup labels in October gets Popcorn Party!

And it's an easy way to make money for EES and your child(ren)!!

Over this holiday weekend, don't forget that money and orders for PTA fundraiser items are due on Tuesday, 9/6/11. Please be sure to turn these in and sell, sell, sell! Remember that all money earned goes back into the school to help benefit all of the children!

You've seen announcements from the PTA and may be wondering what is the PTA? How did it get started? Why should I join? Hopefully, the following information will help answer some of those questions. For more than a 100 years, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has provided support, information and resources to families focused on the health and education of children. The organization was founded in 1897 in Washington DC as the National Congress of Mothers by Alice McLellan Birney and Phoebe Apperson Hearst. If not for these women and their vision and determination, there would not be a PTA—an organization that has been woven into the very fabric of American life. By whatever name it has been known, National PTA was created to meet a profound challenge: to better the lives of children. And today, it continues to flourish because PTA has never lost sight of its goal: to change the lives of children across our great nation for the better.
